Current Work - Project Supports

Work Currently or Recently Performed

The community and the ECCL project benefit from the following supports:

COMMUNICATIONS & CHRONICLING
Web-Based Communications Summary Objectives:  To enable and encourage an authentic community dialog on the current and future work related to the ECCL. Traditional public meetings tend to capture a small but vocal segment of any community. Through these tools we hope to expand the voice of the Emeryville community and allow more to participate in the upcoming work. This webpage and associated web tools is, in part, the product of this effort

MOU & GOVERNANCE
The City of Emeryville and the Emery Unified School District continue their collaborative work supporting joint facilities projects and community-building efforts through the approval of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two bodies.  The first increment of the MOU structure began in December of 2009 and was originally due to expire on December 31,2010.  The expiration date was extended by both the City Council and the District Board of Trustees and is now scheduled to expire on June 30, 2011.  A second increment of the MOU has been approved by the City/Schools Committee and is scheduled to be individually approved by the Council and the Board at their regularly scheduled meetings in late April or early May 2011.  The second increment of the MOU will have a three-year duration, beginning on July 1, 2011 and continuing until June 30, 2014.
